For more than four decades, NASA has worked alongside Dalit and Adivasi communities and other vulnerable rural populations. Its approach combines practical support with long-term community participation. NASA helps children, women, farmers, families, and local leaders strengthen education, health, livelihoods, access to essential resources, and ownership of development initiatives.
NASA follows a rights-based rural-development approach that combines practical support with awareness, local leadership, access to entitlements, and long-term community ownership.

A Student's Path Forward
After losing a parent during the Covid-19 pandemic, a student from a rural community faced the risk of leaving school. Through NASA's community-based child-support program, the family receives nutritional assistance and support to help the child continue education and work toward a more secure future.
